Any one rent these plastic 426 hemi blocks? Its heavy work taking the block in and out to make mount and headers.

i have one but shipping back and forth would be costly.i'm in olklahoma.

Try buying one at your local good auto parts stores, NAPA and so on Like most hemi parts, they ain't cheap

Go on E-bay. You'll find 'em 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of retail. Make sure you measure 'em against an original block. MIne was 1/2 in shorter & 3/4 in narrower than a real block. I spoke to the manufacturer at SEMA about it. He said that was the first he ever heard about that but conceded that if the block is pulled too soon from the mold it can happen.

Shame you are not closer. (near Pittsburgh here) I have an old KB aluminum block that is great for what you are doing. Its pretty wasted, but dies good for set up. See ya, Ken
