Time that it takes the switch contacts to "close", it slows your reaction time.

Re: Biondo Terminator Trans-Brake Button - 11/26/12 11:56 PM

really? why would it be any faster???

Re: Biondo Terminator Trans-Brake Button - 11/27/12 12:00 AM

The long throw buttons that are being discussed close slower, and slow down your reaction time. El cheapo buttons, are probably faster, and less consistent.

When reacting off the third amber, many people with fast cars have problems red lighting. Thats what these are for a longer adjustable button to slow down reaction times.

I think you need to take into consideration where you are going to mount the button, Ive owned a couple and for me the Reactor worked best, I've got a old adjustable long throw button in the shop somewhere, you"d be welcome to try it. It worked fine, I didnt like it on steering wheel, and it didnt fit in to good with pushbuttons as far as locating.

So from what I read you can not ajust the reactor. Is that right ?

You know what they say.."old dogs../..new tricks"..

Re: Biondo Terminator Trans-Brake Button - 11/27/12 02:17 AM

So are both of you old hound dogs are what? Yes the reactor button can be adjusted also, not as much as most of the long throw buttons. But enough for me anyway. The thing I liked mostly about it was the built in stop, you'll understand if you look at there web site, and it mounted where I wanted it. I'm an old enough hound dog that I still use the push buttons on the left side, and I couldnt put up with the steering wheel mount, didnt like dealing with the cords. So I have the reactor mounted on the dash hanging out to where I can reach with my forefigner with my right hand on the wheel, I just slide my finger back, away she goes. But not using it now much, since moving to WV I'm trying to run mostly NSS which doesnt alow the use of a transbrake anyway. Anyway you go though, if I was buying a button it would adjustable. When I first went to a transbrake without one, I was red way to much without one, of course I can go red on the old footbrake also. Proved that more than a few times.

I check out their site .I just did't see where it said you could adjust it. I really like the design . I think it would be very good for Jenni.. and I do not want to mount it on the steering wheel. But I might have to for her.. she need to have both hands on the steering wheel when it leaves small girl and not sure she can control the car with one hand.

Re: Biondo Terminator Trans-Brake Button - 11/27/12 03:34 AM

She will have no problems controlling it, still has a big block in it, right?
Now if you put a small block in it, she might need a third arm to hang on to that beast

I have one on the 67 (Biondo )

Works great , I don't see how you could mount one in a steering wheel, it has a 3 inch throw

I made a bracket, mounted off the dash

The button sits even with the wheel

They dyno the buttons , instructions will tell you how many rings to pull off
