Wally Booth 1969 Super Bee - 11/22/12 03:09 PM
Just saw the article in MCG about Wally Booths 1969 Super Bee that he campaigned in 1969 and 1970. I have always thought that car was awesome looking from the few pictures I have seen before. Just curious if anybody here has any shots of the car back in the day besides the 2 I have. The car was also featured in the January 1970 issue of popular hot rodding magazine. Apparently that is a hard issue to get your hands on, I have been looking for a while.

Somewhere in my thousands of mags I have the one with his car in it. I remember it real well as it had a pic of him with a hose spraying on the hood of the car with the dual scoops. I will try to dig it up if I can. Ron

I seen that car run at a test&tune/grudge race at indy, I think in 1970. the car was f5 green, pretty sure, with a yellow hood with scoops and wally booth lettered in shoe polish down the sides. a real go getter! impressed us kids!

I'm curious about the wheels. Rears look like maybe chrome reverse rims, or maybe polished Super Tricks? Fronts I think might be Hurst?

It had Fenton Shark (might have been Super Shark) wheels on the front and I saw pics of chrome reverse on the rear, along with Fenton Sharks as well.

Fenton made a nice shiftre.I used the handle that looked like a Hurst on my 51 Harley that was jockey shift.I still miss that old rat bike.It was a rat before they were popular.Rocky

Based on a picture I found on the web, I would say the front wheels are Fenton, can't see enough of the rear to even guess.
