Turned out nice!
I was told it may have been last Article
By Daral White as he has started a new job in Texas.

I woul like to thank him and PHR magazine for showing some love to the small block mopar.

I had help from lots of people on this build many nights down at my buddy's shop Dennis Wheet working on the cylinder heads.

Rick at JE Pistons in conjunction with Vic at weisco pistons killer rings and pistons.

Danny Glad at Glad Percision for some cylinder block work.

Rider race engines for use of the dyno for 3 days and the thrash that it was ......
cams in and out heads off one time has over 70 pulls and 15 gal of q16

Brian Craig (scamp451) help with getting some cam cores and help with last 2 engine masters builds with little things that help big.

I used to really enjoy car magazine subscriptions......20 years ago.
These days I pick up the occasional Engine Masters , but most of them are so light on technical details and too heavy on fluff and dumbed down text.
I think it was right about when SSDI went south that I really lost interest.
Now , I'm getting it back.
I will track this down just for the pics.
Awesome stuff.

...i would never even look at PRH ( or a lot of magazines for that matter, they're all a bit " enthusiatic" for my likes...lol), so glad you mentioned it. Will take a peak.

Nice article, but a lot of pretty high end and specialty stuff. I guess it would have to be where (rpm) you are making peak torque and HP. Can you ball park the $? Just trying to get a handle on $ verses HP.

This engine was for the 2011 engine masters contest.

This is set up on a average score 3500 - 7500 rpm the best place to gain score in this is down at the bottom of the rpm range.

Look at the TQ this engine makes at 3500 rpm 520+ TQ

750 HP with 252 at .050 duration cam

As far as cost to duplicate I would guess $25000-$30000

But you would not need the $1000 rings and $2800 lifters and $1500 pistons

Jason will do the final assembly and we will dyno it, at his shop. No big deal.....just a little small block for my street car.

Now you can package these new water manifolds with your heads and intake. What do you think? 4X -08 inlets and a single -16 out. I will also make a 1 1/4 outlet to regular style radiator hoses. It also has a 1/8" NPT in the center for a temp sensor.

Brian, I would be interested. I have had my last couple of sheet metal water manifolds made at Sonny's and they weren't cheap.

Brian, If your making thoese water manafolds I think I would like to order one from you. I have one made up for up top but I still need one to come off of one of my water pump ports.
