What sort of power will a typical muffler shop 2.5" dual exhaust support with an H-pipe?

I'm just trying to see if a motor capable of 600-800hp will lose a ton of power, or if it does lose some power, will it just be really quiet in comparison to a 3" dual?

Go with 3" if you are looking for upwards of 800hp

The F.A.S.T. cars are limited to a 2.5 exhaust, it does not seem to be too much of a hindrance for them.

I disagree...it is a hindrance...they would just make even more power with properly sized exhaust. They do make it work....but it's still a compromise.

My old 440 powwered 1969 Dart picked up from 12.23 at 109.5 MPH to 11.39 at 117.7 MPH by removing the old 2.5 inch inlet and outlet turbo muffs with 2.5 inch pipes coming out of the Hooker A body fenderwell headers with side pipes exiting in front of the rear tires

My Duster has three inch pipes from the same headers straight back to a set of 3 inch in and out 14x7 Mganflow muffs mounted at the rear bumper, this car picks up .04 and 1/10 MPH in the 1/8 mile by removing the entire exhaust sytem. The increase in performance is probally do to the weight differences

I'll just have to run it as-is for now. Hopefully it will lose a little bit of power and still stay sorta quiet.

It's a cent blown 3g Hemi...
