Anybody have a Mopar Dragster?? - 10/25/12 05:30 PM

Just wondering if anyone has a Mopar powered Dragster, you don't see very many, but I know there have to be a few? Just curious to see what combinations those of you that have them are running.

I've had 3 this is my new one it is a 2010 TNT supercars 240 inch wb. I run a 540 B1 motor on gas motor makes 950 car weighs 2050 with my fat butt in it. Runs 7.60's wide open we do alot of super comp racing with it.

We run a 235" nostalgia FED. It has a 358" P7 engine, glide, etc. on methanol. We race in a nostalgia circuit and race about 5-6 times per year. Our class has a 7.50 index limit. We have run as low as 7.35@178 mph.

We want to go faster so we have been playing with an older hemi. It goes better(7.12@186mph) but must get better as we are now playing with 7.00 crowd. Needs to be able to get to 6.80s. We know how to get there----all it takes is time and $$$$$.

This is my 2nd dragster,it is light compared to some of the others and has a few trick things most others don't.It was built for a Mopar engine.

This one will be ready next summer. Has not been run with the mild 440 bracket motor that is in it now. 2000 Worthy 230" slip joint. It is also for sale.

My old one. Sold it in 2002. 240" Advanced Chassis, had a Muscle Motors 588" B1 Mega block. ran best of 6.87, 199.

It belonged to Ronny Stayer and I think Chris Weatcraft had allot to do with it.

My first Mopar powered dragster, Foot-braked, roller cammed 340 with a 'glide, ran 9.40's, broke a stock rod in the water box at Green Valley Raceway (Fort Worth) in 1984.

The engine in my S&W 225" 4-link car 499" lo deck stock block, glide, injected alcohol, ran 4.90s in the 1/8th(sold in 2010)

Last one, right before I sold it.

It was on NOS, single fogger. We never hit the NOS it real hard. Check with Mike at Muscle Motors for how it was set-up.

Mine is a 1995 S&W hard tail dragster. It currently runs a 7.84 @ 168 MPH best ET. Engine is a 572, 440-1 head.

PS�..for sale also, I�m looking at a 4 link car.

actually hes been having a cooling problem with it.

Was that with any power adder.

This was my 1st dragster nothing fancy but I won a lot of Bracket Races with it. The engine was a 451(.060 440)ported & polished 915 heads Weiand tunnel ram 2 4779 Holley carbs Comp cams 286-750 roller camshaft,Speed Pro(TRW)12-1 pistons it only run high 5:20's & low 5:30's,but you only changed the plugs once a year and checked the valve lash about every 45-50 runs when you changed the oil. I would race Friday nights at the Phenix City track,Saturday night at the old MMP track and back at Phenix City on Sunday afternoon.When I sold it I had run the engine 3 years & only changed the valve springs once at the start of the 3rd year.
