Al. NICE FLOOR. Cleaner than my Kitchen.
I have a very rare and nice Persian rug that has your name on it for sale.LOL.

You can take your pokes at me in a couple of weeks when I'm scratchin' my back with the pavement doing the very same task.

Atco and MIR are my targets. They should be yours as well because those two tracks won't let you or your ET down.

Are you driving or do you need a ride??When I get my 'verter back,it's going right on the chassis dyno

Re: Mopars @ Lebanon Valley Dragway - 09/27/12 08:34 PM

If you mean Lebanon, No, I'll be going with my kids it looks like.
But if you are talking Atco or MIR this October 6th and 27th, then I might need a ride, but for sure I and the car will need a ride to MIR if you are going there with yours.

Been thinking of going but my car runs 9's and the cage has not been certified. Also, I do not have an engine diaper yet. How close do they tech during events like this. I am a little over 3 hours from the track and do not want to haul my car for nothing.

Its an NHRA track so I wouldn't count on it if it will run 9's. I know it stinks but safety 1st.

The tech inspector "impounded" the out of date helmet of the guy in line next to me this morning.
So make sure you're safety stuff is good to go.
It would be a terrible thing if you oiled the track and crashed... the life you save may be your own-just saying

Re: Mopars @ Lebanon Valley Dragway Oct 13th - 09/29/12 10:32 PM

Thanks Guys, I quess that answers my question. I race in Canada and the NHRA tech guys are only in town a few times a year. I can get a short term inspection from my home track that would take care of the certifcation but the diapier issue will need to be addressed. With the drag link going through the oil pan and the headers hugging the block, the diapier will have to be custom made. I have already been in contact with Champion from Indy however, since the season is almost over I will make that a winter project.

I made it out there about three quarters of the way and turned back once the drizzles came. Miserable day on the road with both my boys and nothing to see.

They will not allow you to run in the nines without chassis cert. and license so if you can keep it in the 10's you will be fine. As far as the diaper goes, you can call them as I believe they require it for Sunday points racing and on Saturdays for T&T, it is not required. You can call the track for verification.

Re: Mopars @ Lebanon Valley Dragway Oct 13th - 09/30/12 12:52 PM

Trust me, I've gone three quarters to MIR and had to turn back with trailer and all just because my friends insisted on going. The thing is, that I knew it would turn out like that every time. I'm a walking weather vain.

So far weather is looking great. High of 56 and sunny. Was putting the Duster away, but think I might take a shot at some bracket racing this weekend.

All in all it ran pretty smooth in spite of all the cars and eliminators being run.
I went to the final in NENDRA and beat the points leader for the trophy.
Two more NENDRA event left for the season on the next 2 Saturdays.
