Finally my car works

Finally my car works - 09/19/12 08:00 AM

Finally I found all the problems with my Challenger and got some good runs.
Talk about a bracket car, 5 runs within 4 hundreds of a second.

Best run was 9.81 and 137,5 mph

But my sixty foots are all over the place.
It does'nt matter how I adjust the shocks.

From 1.36 to 1.44, the best 60 feet is with foot braking and worst with transbrake.
When footbraking i stall to 2000 rpm then mash the throttle.
With transbrake I used 3000, 3200 and 3400 chip.

I don't know if I should go higher like 4000 on the brake

My chassi was built in 1974 so I might have to update it, still has ladderbar and leafsprings.

The car is amazing to drive, so nice and steady.

So finally after so many hours to sort it out, it paid of.

If I only could get the 60 feet down to 1.30 I would be glad

Now on to finish up my FED for next season, I will try to drive both cars next year.

Congrats on getting it consistant. The 1.36 is pretty good for a lot of cars in the mid/high nines. Does the car hook then spin if you raise the launch rpm? That indicates shocks need to be stiffer.

My car hooks real good, no spinning at all.
I have not tried higher start rpm then 3400 rpm.

With my old engine I used to leave att 5500 rpm.
But that engine had less power, around 100-125hp less.

In my class the standard is like 1.25 60 feet.

To bad I did'nt have any more rpm chips to try.

The car leaves lika a prostocker chassi vise, but slow.
No more BIG wheelstands.
