Since 2004 or there abouts Arp has changed their assembly lubricant or for better words I had moly lube on assembly in 2005, would you use the new ULTRA TORQUE torque specs on your motor that was line honed with the old ARP moly lube torque spec that is 90ftlbs on a big block? or use the new ultra torque spec at 110#. I am just changing bearings on the mains , and have to decide what torque to use on the connecting rods. ARP moly lube I cannot find and it would be my preference and would if I had the ARP moly lube. The engine is still in the car.

I just use oil... that spec doesnt seem to change...
I just did my short block today and the rods have the
ARP 2000 series bolts and they show a spec for oil
and their magic lubes but I just go with the oil

I wouldn't worry about it, if you're using the new lube just torque it to the spec they say.

A local boat racer had a rod bolt failure on a set of ARP rod bolts that came with the new lube, the bolt broke after minimal usage

I trust his input, he is well educated and ASE master tech that knows the product and how to deteremine NDT methods and so on. He says it was the new lube

I would, and are, using the older black moly looking lube instead of the new ARP lube

The engine was machined with the ARP moly lube with known torque values in 2006, I was actually lucky to have acknowledge that I have the ultra torque lube now on the bench, with R&RING the engine main bearings rod etc. I just happened to look up the torque values on ARP website and noticed the ultra torque values listed were higher , than what I remembered I torqued em at back in 2005 ..LOL

I did some researching and found some assembly moly lube which is now harder to find. I feel better torqueing at values engine was machined at with the ARP moly lube ,,

Next machined engine I will have to get used to the newer to me ultra torque ???//
