Finally got ol' GoldDigger running and blew the dust off. The car has been down since last September when we broke a rocker, lifter, and other things. Had a new 540 built by Shawn Meyer at St. Claire Engine. Motor made 830 hp @ 7000 rpm and 775 ft. lb. of torque at 6700 rpm. on their dyno. Special thanks go to Shawn Meyers for his building talent and patience with my stupid questions, Sean Johnson (HardcoreB) for his header building skills, Jerry Tomala (G-Demon) for the trans freshen, and my wife Denise for letting me blow our life savings, lol!
Yesterday, Labratt and I hauled the car to my shop to install the wheelie bars (thanks for the help Randy). Randy took a couple videos while we were playing around out front .

My pleasure,Randy! I have a "vested" interest in the GoldDigger..and want it to do well!..which I know it will! The BEAST sounds much better in person! With all that new-found power,I'm sure the wheelie bars will be a necessity! Norwalk will be AWESOME this year! Now...I hope my good friend,Ron Wilson(Firefighter3931) gets his '68' Charger finished,and ready to rumble,as well! Norwalk,Ohio....HERE WE COME!

Nice to see it going.There is a chance I may see you at Norwalk but if not I hope to see you at Indy.Looks and sounds good.

Randy. I just got mine back together and fired it up today. I was going to try to go out next weekend and make a couple of passes.

They are 29.5x10.5 Mickey Thompson slicks on a 12" wide wheel.
