In Shopping For A Ring Set, I Have A Question, I Am Dealing With A Bore Size Of 4.375. Is A Set Advertised As 4.375 +.005 File Fit:YES, The Same As A Set Of 4.380 File Fit:NO ?

No, they should be two differrent sets and part numbers of file to fit ring sets , I have used a set standard tension oil ring set of non file to fit set with Moly top rings and a cast iron 2nd ring set for a 4.380 bore in a 4.375 bore motor, that worked good Barely needed to file the gaps Make sure and get the correct bore size ring sets, especially in file to fit sets BTW, it doesn't hurt to check the ring seal against the cylinder walls when your done fitting them, I use a bright light under the rings, slide one ring into the cylinder at a time amd square it up with piston and check to see if there is any light between the rings and the cylinder walls, if there is your in trouble If not your good, usually
