Innovate wideband o2 - 08/16/12 07:19 PM

Just got it today....want to install...have Supercomps into 3" x then into cutouts, mufflers, tips out the back.....I have two concerns....

1. I was thinking of putting the sensor in the middle of the x so it gets info from both banks....not really finding any info on locations...seems a lot of Ford guys are putting them in the left collector as that is the side they are known to run leaner.....any suggestions on location?...

2. Anyone with adjustable length Supercomps knows they do not seal 100%.....I have seen info that ANY exhaust leaks will give bad info....it seems they do not leak excessively but I can feel a small bit of leakage from the middle of the collectors.....thought about trying some header wrap but do not know how easy it will be to get in that area anyway......4spd A-body, 1 7/8 primary chassis exit....kinda tight....anyone have any experience with a similar situation?.....

Thanks in advance!

Put muffler seal on any possible leak points...
I prefer to run a left and right bung... check both
sides and see if you have a lean and rich side and if
you do try a stagger jetting but if they are close
then dont worry about which side... just mount it so
its easy to get at... make sure its above 3 o'clock
and 9 o'clock so moisture can drain out... once you
get a reading on both sides you can chip off the muff
sealer if you want then get another set of readings
with the so called leaks and use that as the base line
with the difference from the sealed readings... I
dont like putting it in the X due to it seeing a pulse
and not straight flow(straight flow gives you a better
and faster reading)

I have an Innovate 02,AFTER I put it in the X-pipe Innovate told me not the best idea,
A bung in each heaader and move it side to side is more accurate.

It does work in the X-pipe,they just told me theres better locations

Here's a good question......do evac tubes count as 'leaks'......

You have to make sure the e-vac is down stream of
the O2... if its ahead of the O2 it will get a bogus
reading sensing the oil and air
