jegs windage tray - 08/10/12 03:40 PM

Has anyone used one of these yet? http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/502001/10002/-1?parentProductId=1660861 Do they seal pretty good? Really doesn't look like drain back would be great? Any opinions?

I have one on my 505" stroker. They seal good, but are fairly shallow. I had to heat and reshape mine to clear the 4.25" stroker crank with the GM size rods. I also opened up the louvers on mine.
My friend put one on a 3.90" stroke using the Mopar rods and it was also a close fit. I think 4.15 stroke with the GM rods is what it was designed for?

Thanks for reminding me that I need another one.
They are even on sale, so I ordered two (got a 440 that needs rebuilt.)

The thing with the Jegs windage tray is it doubles as the oil pan gasket.

That looks like a nice piece. I thought it was best to have the louvers. I like the double sealed edges.
