Can someone point me in the right direction I am using 90/10 on the front and S/S on the rear 4:10 with m/t et streets and a pinion snubber on a 69 RR and nothing seems to be working

Thats some pretty limited info.... tell us everything
you can... also name the shocks...all are not equal

comp eng shocks.727 3000 stall built by ultimate. 500ci 440 eddy heads ,victor 850dp TTI 2in primaries 3 1/2 into 3 in flow master ,full int 1969 RR

OK... lets start with... whats the time slip show..
give us the break down..tire pressure(rear) rpm you
launch at.... how much front end travel from curb
height...
also I'll tell you now ... I'm not a fan of CE shocks
and flow masters... both are JUNK...I assume this
is a street car that you play on the track once in
a while

Who built your converter?? Front shocks are huge, buy the best you can possibly swing, also loosen up the uca bushings and use a poly lca bushing.

Front schocks are huge ???? what do you mean ? these are standard 3 way adj competion engineering drag schocks !

What do you mean by loosening up the lca bushungs ?

lca- lower controll arm bushings,,uca upper controll arm bushings,, you want to loosen the front suspension up so that it takes minimal effort to move the tire and rim up and down and lets the front of the body rise quicker on acceleration giving more weight transferr to the rear...in a nut shell.

If you dont have the front end travel just about
anything you do on the rear will be a waste of time

If you have them we need time slips. Knowing the 60 ft times and 1/8 & 1/4 times along with mph will help alot in knowing what you are doing and what most think it can do. Ron

Well I guess because I have a street car and not a high dollar race car everything I have will be junk! No time slips. No s/s lift or front just spin.

Tires . The car is big and if you have an 8 3/4" look out if it hooks.I get away with it @3200# so far.You have power.

Just saying that the muffs you have are big on back
pressure... and the CE shocks... well use them if
you want... do you know how much front travel you have...
and its not a bash on weather its a race car or street car

The 511" in my car will spin street tire from 40 MPH both tires about 50' with 4.10 gears.

Now its a 4.56 with 4000tc 1.40 60ft 1/8 mile car.

By the way I had them M/T streets alittle over 10",they sound like I ran over 2 big dogs just spin them suckers.

But I have a 308 roller cam.

M/t et streets with 15 lb just spin and 30 tall . Hughes 592 / 606 Hyd lift . The thing that is bothering me Is it did just lift and go and over the last 6 months just driving and beating on it went away???

With all due respect Mike wasn't bashing your car he was just expressing an opinion, he is one of the most helpful people on here. Give as much info as possible, then people on here will help you as much as they can.
For what it's worth, i found that running my ranchos on 8 or 9 worked best for my car on decent tracks but as Mike says, if the front isn't working, it means nothing. The CE shocks are a little stiff, even on the 90/10 setting, I use the calvert 3 ways, they extend a lot easier and are relatively inexpensive.

I am not bashing your car at all either. It just gives an idea of how well it hooks if you have raced it at the track and have 60 ft times. I just asumed that you had raced at the track but its no big deal if you have not. I can say that most cars will not hook good on the street no matter what tires they use. I drive around on Hoosier radial slicks and they dont hook at all on the street for me as its not a good surface with rubber laid down like the track. I hook good at the track if I line up right and the track is good but no way on the street. I remember racing an SRT-8 Challenger on the street (which I dont like to do) and he put almost 2 cars on me when we took off since I spun so much and that was on slicks. I had to ease up and ease into to catch and beat him. Sounds like everyone has given you good advice. As was said good front end travel helps alot and using a sticky drag radial cant hurt. im looking for any advice , because usually its something stupid that you overlook. I like to take my car to the local flashlight drags

and have fun once a month.Like I said I did hook at one tim and it went away??

Thats right,it went away you going to need slicks to hold something like 10x28s and its going to take a good track.You got a HOSS even a test n tune track mite not work.My car has 10x29s and 4.56 rear and it has to be on raceday,it don't hook on test n tune when all those street car on the track.
