to it and also give it a ghost flame with more metallic
then clear it....... I already have the paint(had

No trans brake on this one... its a 518 OD trans
with the lock up removed so I could put one of my
high stall conv in
I went to pull it into the shop and now the ignition
switch is screwing up... will start it but if I turn
the key off it continues to run... flip the master
off and it dies...... just another thing to work on

Cheapo Summit....one thing about the truck... that
space under the bed cover sure can hold a LOT of tire
smoke.. the fan in my shop door was blowing it out
from under the truck along with the rad fan....LOL

I dont think its gonna trap air at speed but I want
to put a small air deflector at the back bottom of
the cab.... I ran it up to about 70 mph real quick
and it was stable to that speed

Actually its both... the area under the bed cover
holds a lot of tire smoke and my remote oil filter
has a fitting leaking(needs a new fitting)

Mike as others have stated that is a sweet sounding ride.

I do have one ? And I only ask because a friend on mine's car is doin the same thing. In the video when you whacked the throttle in front of the garage. I appears it is smoking out the right tail pipe. What do you think that might be? Jim

Right now I'm not sure if its steam from a header
bolt (water getting in) or if its my oil leak...
I see oil right at the ball socket(joint) so it
might be getting in there... right now I have a few
other things that are higher on the list... I also
have 1 head that I had to tube the push rod hole
because I went to far on porting but I dont think
thats the problem.. gotta fix 2 oil fittings then
check it

Hey Mike just a thought, I had major problems with the stock w5 3/8 guides & seals @ first, The stock w5 guide od is smaller than the rest of the worlds guides by a hair so if you use normal guide seals they want to slip off real easy, and smoke like hell

Thanks guys... now I need to order a couple of AN fittings,
I ran out... got the charging circuit running(holds
a nice 13.7 volts)... now to finish up the interior
(gotta put the carpet in and bolt the seats in)

Yeah it sounds pretty good for a pump gas engine

LOL... I'm FAR from being done... still do the interior,
do ALL of the body work(welding in some new metal)
painting... still need to change a 4 springs on the
suspension(fronts are too stiff and the rears are weak...
but I'm getting things done daily... today was so
damned hot I only worked a half day but did get some
stuff done

Well I fixed one oil leak(where the oil filter use
to mount, I have 2 fittings screwed into the block
to go to the remote filter) BUT both of my big dollar
#10 90% swivels are both leaking at the swivel...
changed 1 and that stopped leaking but didnt see the
other was leaking till now... gotta see if I have
some more non swivel fittings... what a bummer

Looks like the leak was causing the oil out the pipe
issue... once I get the exhaust warmed up good I'll
retighten both ball sockets on the exhaust to seal

what oily and but the thing is dog fat, I was looking
for my vac gauge but I cant find it OR my compression
gauge... I believe I loaned it out but dont remember...
but I want to do a few checks and if I'm not happy

Last I remember, you had to get another block..

This one here sure smoked like the rings weren't sealing..
