I've had good success drilling the inner weight .375" dia .375" deep. I take about .200 off the outer weight leaving the original diameter about .100" from each end. This has resulted in 5600-5900 shift. Not rocket science but it has worked.

I agree that my method had different shift rpm for the 1/2 and the 2/3 with the stock spring. Where did you get all the different springs?
