I got a call from Phil Grovers mother early this morning saying Phil had been killed in a motorcycle wreck yesteray, he was a good freind and an excellent person

I will miss him

Someone else has already posted about this in the general section so if you've already read it, sorry for the duplication, I don't go there usually so I thought I would post on here for those like me to see it. My prayers are with the family, Bio condios, muchacho(SP?)

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend Cab... I remember when he towed his car out to MATS many years ago from NY.

...I'm not sure if he or his buddy slept the whole way out here! They were a sight for sore eyes!! Of course, that's what good stories and memories are made of

. Phil will be missed. Certainly glad I had the opportunity to meet him.

Cab; I met Phil 2-3 years ago when I sold my GTX. He was hired to pick up and deliver the car. He got here about 24 hours before the buyer did so on meeting him I took him out for supper. The next day I picked him up and we went out for dinner with Larry H. (Hemi Ram on the board). Hit it right off with him, he was full of interesting stories. He also spoke very highly of you Cab, told me of all the help you'd been to him and all you'd taught him. I shall miss him. Dave

Oh wow that is such sad news. My prayers go out to his family.

I almost met Phil as I hung around his car (the 69 340 Cuda) for a bit at Carlisle waiting for him to return but I did not stay long enough to meet him. I am so sorry to hear of this and pray for his family. RIP Phil.

very sad R.I.P. Phil he was a great guy who picked up a car for us a couple years ago when the seller was being a pain in the a** and wouldn't release a car that was paid in full in advance and kept screwing up Phil's schedule for over 3 weeks.

Wow just got the news from a fellow member. I was floored when I read this. He was a heck of a nice guy and would try and do anything for anyone. He will be missed by a lot of folks. What a shame. RIP Phill.

I know many of you don't visit the general forum, because of all the hippo, penguin, zombie crap, but if you don't mind, please post your condolences and memories of Phil is the thread stickied there for him

His daughter, Amanda has signed up to the forum, and is posting/reading that thread, and asking for us to post pictures and memories of Phil.

If we can keep them all in that one thread, she's more likely to see them, as I don't think she's going to be browsing all over moparts.

I met Phill in Nebraska and the wife and I towed with him to MATS. I am trying to find the pics we took along the road and post them in the General board, he truely will be missed!

So sorry to hear this! Phil was a helluva nice guy that really leaves a positive impression on you. Met him for the first time several years ago at Carlisle Nationals via MOPARTS.

He will certainly be missed!!

I met Phil at a VMP Mopar Madness event a few years ago. We were pitted next to one another and spent quite a bit of time talking and hanging out that weekend. Phil was an easy going fun person to be around that will be missed�.

Met Phil at Virginia motorsports Park. A great guy. Was laid up a few years ago and looking into hauling for a month or two. Phil really tried to guide me into that.

Thats terrible news.
Had the opportunity to meet and race with him at LVD. He supplied a BBQ chicken lunch feast for the whole group. Outstanding human being.

I had the great fortune to meet and hang out with Phil a few years back at Norwalk during the Classic. He was pitted right by us, and i got to race him in the 10.0 shootout. Lucky for me he was having nitrous problems all weekend.

Three of us( me and two buddies) were sitting by ourselves in that angled part of the stands that is about 1/2 track on the pit side. There was a top fueler there making a test pass we had went to sit and watch.
My one buddy goes" Hey look over there" I look and lo and behold, there is 9 sec Phil mooning us, standing on the top of a race car trailer to do so. We laughed about that for years, and sometimes still do.
He had a great sense of humour, and was enjoyable to be around.
Great guy, will be sorely missed.

I met Phill in Vegas '06. Stayed in touch many times since then. He will be missed. He always made everyone feel like a good friend!

Wow, NOT how I wanted to start my day. Phil was a great guy who would do anything to help you out. He brought some parts up from VA for me on one of his road trips. When I stopped by his shop to get them, he stopped what he was doing for what seemed over an hour to bs and take me for a ride in his cuda.

We saved him a spot at the PINKS event at E-town and hung out with him all weekend. Not only did he help people with thier cars, but he made sure they ate too!

You will be missed my friend......

I am FREAKIN SHOCKED!!!!!!!!!! I just talked to him on FB a few weeks ago while he was here in Florida. Told him I wanted to meet up with him sometime when he was down here and SOOOOO sad we didnt get that chance!!!!!
