Tire Advice - 05/10/12 10:21 PM

I am thinking about going to a slick on my 69 Bee. It is a full interior car with a 5 speed stick and a mild 440. Eddy heads, MSD Injection, Comp Cam (XE274H-10), 3.55 gears in a 8 3/4, Centerforce clutch, really heavy! It has alot of torque, and it won't hook at all.

When I was younger, I ran a sticky M&H on a 15x8 inch rim on the street. I was going to do something like that again, but then realized that I might as well go to a full slick if I am not going to drive it on the street at all. What size tire would you guys recommend? This isn't for competition, this is just to have some fun at the track at special events or test and tune nights. I really appreciate any advice you can give me.

Editted to add cam grind info

i ran 325/50 on my b. had 15x10 rims. mt streets would be good for duel purpose, that is if u don't run radials. drag radials never hooked on my car, but that was on a marginal track.

I've never run a rim that wide on a car before. Does it stick out past the quarter panel? Does it look bad?

Do the Mickey Thompson ET Streets hook up well with decent track prep?
