Fuel pressure problem -- FOUND IT ! - 05/05/12 09:20 AM

When I put the car away last Nov. my fuel pressure was jumping all over the place . I went thru everything last week and found nothing wrong--all clean . Maybe its the gauge ?

Well, I was under the car checking stuff and noticed my 5/8 aluminum fuel line had a couple visible kinks.......
I got a closer look and found this --- no idea how it happened or when !

I cut the fuel line in the center of the kink....

Car ran great last race......the line is inside the sub frame connecter against the floor---kink was near door area ......

Good find! I had a chassis dyno operator get my rubber fuel line in one of the tie down straps one time. That was confusing, car had good fuel pressure 5 minutes before I pulled it on the rollers. Of course we didn't figure this out until I had cleaned the fuel filter and looked everything else over. How he managed to grab the small segment of rubber line that you can't even see I have no idea lol.

Did you loan your car to Bo Duke while the General was getting worked on?
