65 AFX Altered Wheelbase ?

How did the factory (original 12 cars)mount the fiberglass deck lid? Looking thru old photos it appears they may have been hinged as I see no hood pins and I do see the key/lock mechanism.

The Yankee Peddler done by Alexander Bros and Brannister had threaded aluminium hood pins with aluminium wingnuts.But was a 1 of 1 built for Bill Flynn(the only post car)and not one of the original factory hardtops done by Ambulwagon.
