nostalgia wheels with drive studs? - 03/03/12 02:30 PM
I was looking for new, wider wheels for the car this year (15 x 12) and i thought it'd be cool to have something like torq thrusts. Problem is, I can't seem to find any nostalgically styled wheels that don't have conical seats for the lugs, and i have drive studs. Has anyone found a solution?
thanks guys,
tony

have them machined to fit the washers...and the studs/nuts

that's the direction i was heading, but i am surprised no one offers wheels already with the current craze on nostalgia racing. Time to break out the drill bits and reamers, i guess.

These guys show undrilled centers, perhaps they can provide what you want:

Also think ahead. If you want to use 5/8" studs order them in a 5 x 5 pattern. That will give you room for the lug nuts. I can't say if 5 x 4 3/4 will work, but 4 1/2 takes some work. This is how tight my American 200S are with 4 x 4 1/2 pattern with only 1/2" studs
