What does your slow car 60'?
I am just curious what some of your guys slow cars 60ft??
The Goldmember doesnt do bad. I've gone a best of 1.72 in vegas and 1.67 in Bremerton. In Bremerton I went 13.18 best. Vegas was probably a high 13.4.
I think the next engine I do for it will be a 408 with eddys. make it run high 10s but 60' like a 10.30 car lol.

What do you consider a slow car ?
Well with my old eng I ran mid 11's with a best 60 of a 1.57 at 11.49. With the new eng it has pulled a best 60 of 1.50 at 10.76. Ron

When I go slow.. 10.90.. My 60' are 1.70 or so..
Now, I believe Al's are about 1.90 @ 60' when going slow.. (10.90)

Good choice. My car varies very very little in the 60 all day with the cal tracs split monos and calvert shocks.

I consider 1.26 slow for 9.07 @ 148 I should be around 120/22. I will make some ajustments in the sprinq.

The old low buck 440 with 516 heads ran 12.19 with a 1.595 60ft. in the truck. Dave

lol...1.26 is my best at 8.46 @ 161. I'm still working on it.
lol... you shoud be around 119/124, depends on Track temp, Tire Type. We run Hoosiers @ 7 lbs 572 Daytona 8.40 162 with 4:56 gears is my other car

Good choice. My car varies very very little in the 60 all day with the cal tracs split monos and calvert shocks.
What size tires do you run? I run 275/55/15 M/T radials and spin everytime on lauching. Do you think those require a burnout?

My daily driver '95 caprice, with just tuning, headers, no cats, magnaflow mufflers, 3600 stall, and 3.73's went 1.78 60ft on 275/40/17 m/t drag radial, 14.02 @ 99
Haven't run the wagon yet, no seat belts.

Erics Duster car was slow in the 1/4 10.60,s But his 60,s were impressive.
The best I could muster was a 1.43 @ a 10.47 around that ET

In my dad's duster I went 1.38 @ 10.44 footbraking with a 4.10 gear thats pretty decent.

My car IS SLOW based on the 60'... with new tires
it will 1.19 60'... thats on a 9.05 pass... same 60'
with a 8.96.... MOST of the time its 1.21 so yeah

Last year the Satellite typically 60'd @ 1.75 / 1.76 when running 12.0's to 12.teens
.....and enough with all the 9 second cars claiming "slow" status!

Well you did ask about my slow car..Although the fast one is not a ton better since it is set up for S/ST. It has only been 1.17 and that was an 8.0 pass at 170
I think we will get low 1.20's out of the silver car, whic for a 3400lb pig I will be happy with. That should net us some much better ET's as well. We are still working on the carbs as well. Every pass in the car has been faster and quicker than the previous one. These N/A deals do not recover very well fron pulling out timing the car really is not moving hard til second gear as it is.

1.60 w/ stock axles, upgraded them and added some traction bars... I'm going to launch hardered and shoot for 1.52-1.55's
My old 67 coronet would 60 1.67-1.70 under 1.70 = 12.90's over 1.70 = 13.0's

I love all the SLOW cars posted here. I guess 1.20 - 1.80 is slow for a top alcohol or pro stocker. For us slow humans, I get 1.76 60' at 4000' with 3.23 gears.

For my street rod I'm shooting for 1.3x 60' and for
it to run 10.0(maybe a tad quicker) but I want 10.0
and slower.... I'll find out next summer

1.62 in a 74 Duster with an 11 inch TQ and a [Email]236@50[/Email] solid. 28 inch slick and 3.91.

My Duster qualifies as slow. Best sixty was a bad 1.81. Best ET 12.40 @ 108.
Bet NO ONE has a worse one than this. First time we took our Dart down the track (360 4-speed) on street tires we got a 3.7 sixty foot. LMAO.

71 Scamp 416 4 spd 833 trans 2900lbs me in it, best 1.40 9.99 @ 133 mph and that was with a faulty clutch. I'm hoping for mid 1.3s this season.

Interesting my 67 Coronets best was a 1.64 60ft - 11.67 @ 114.9
With a 1.74 60 foot it went 11.93 and a 2.11 60 went 12.50.

1.61 12.05 @109 on 255 radials 73 Duster. Stock headed 360. Put 275s on but didn't change a thing, works better on the street now tho. Can't wait to activate the plate this season.

I have found this equation provides a good target sixty foot for many door cars, normally aspirated. Some cars are a little better, but if yours is much worse then something isn't optimized well (converter, gear, tire, etc).
sixty = 0.12xET + 0.17
For example:
1.63 @ bremerton 12.40's: Eq gives 0.12x12.40 + 0.17 = 1.66
1.70 @ vegas 12.80's Eq gives 0.12x12.80 + 0.17 = 1.71
The best 60 ft. times in the local 1/8 mile track at 2500 MSL has been 1.41 at 6.410 ET
