Motor mount location

Motor mount location - 02/09/23 08:31 PM

I am in the process of reinstalling the 360 in my LRE. I cannot remember which holes the motor mounts fit into. The frame brackets each have two sets of holes, one is about 1 1/2 in front of the other. Thank you for any help. P.S. how much transmission fluid does a new converter need to be installed.

the rubber biscuit needs to be totally supported on the bottom, but in your picture it looks like only half of it is supported.
something seems amiss. i would double check the mount orientation.
as to your converter question, i always add a quart or so, depending on the converter's diameter.

One set of holes is for small blocks and the other set is for big blocks, is what I have been told in the past. Also, it looks like you may have the motor mount brackets bolted to the front side of the ears on the block. Pretty sure they always bolt behind the ears. There should be a nub on the bottom of the rubber mount, along with the stud that goes thru the hole in the frame. The nub should line up with the dimple in the frame if I remember right on truck mounts. I do know that you need to leave the rubber on one side or the other a little loose to get them all to line up, then tighten it back up after you get it set down. Good luck.
