Help locating stock pitman arm for 93 w250 - 04/20/20 02:39 AM
I am in the process of ressurecting my 93 w250 12v that got hit by an inattentive driver. Unfortunately the pitman arm will need to be replaced. Any ideass on where I should begin my search? The usual ebay/google/cl searched left me empty handed. I see there are pitman arms spec'd for a 2" lift - can I use one on my stock truck?
Any thoughts much appreciated.

Sure did. I ordered a new steering box and drag link. The pitman is not consideeed a wear part however they are often stuck on the sector shaft and have rui ned many quality pitman arm pullers. I cut a slit in mine about half way through parallel to the shaft in case I need to weld it up for reuse.

A 2" lift isn't much, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Thank you sir, I will order a 2" drop pitman and see if it works. This is the same truck I wrecked right after you helped me get the trans/OD shifting correctly. I think that was 4-5 years ago! Luckily it has been out of the weather the entire time so it's still mint (and now repaired : D )

they make longer studs with a block that will raise the stock arm on the knuckles. lots less hassles and cheaper, skyjacker part IIRC.

I have the steering knuckle block on my lifted truck w150 and it does a great job of correcting the geometry. Thanks for thinking of that!
Good news - I found a guy with a stock pitman so we are back in business. Much appreciate the help gentlemen!
