shocks for a 1500

What shocks are the best for a 1500 two wheel drive daily driver. All stock

I'm fixing to put some KYB "gas adjust" shocks on my 2WD dually as soon as the back shocks show up. Maybe today? They were reasonably priced. I think they were about $50ea for the back and $30ea for the front from Amazon. I'll try to post what I think of them here in the next few days as I live in a mecca of "shock performance" roads. In other words, every road is twisty, bumpy, narrow and rapidly changes in elevation. Hopefully the old guy is back to being the "Cowboy Cadillac"!

The then Edelbrock sold IAS shocks were/are great on a 1995 Ram 1500 and allowed me to take off the front anti-roll which improved the ride noticeably when one front wheel it a bump or pothole that its brother did not. The red powder-coat on these shocks has held up better than any paint I have seen on other shocks.

Unfortunately I think Edelbrock stopped selling this shock for Rams

I think someone sells this internal shock design under their trade name but I do not know for sure.

Those look like the more expensive "monoshock" KYB's.

I'm sending them back. The fronts don't fit.

I think QA1 bought the edelbrock rights. Possibly just their old stock when they quit selling them. The edelbrock were the best set of shocks I had all around. Had on several vehicles.

KYBs have earned the nickname Kill Your Butt for a reason. The ones designed for our cars are not a very good choice.
I am going with Bilsteins on my 2007 Ram 1500.

Warm up enough for you there Frank? 96 up here in the boondocks. Did you get the Bilstein's? I pretty much knew I was sending the KYB's back the moment the imitation corrugated nearly let the shock shish-ka-bob my foot! I think I could've bought $25 dollar NAPA shocks and got better quality. Think I'll just call the dealer.

It is a hot one today too. Almost 2:00 and right at 100....which is why I'm resting comfortably on the couch.
I haven't changed the shocks yet. I did increase the tire pressure and the suspension seems to be more stable. I was down to below 20 psi in the front tires. Now at 35, it doesn't feel as much as a porpoise on the water as before.
