rack and pinion bushings

i have a 92 Dakota 4x2 that desperately needs new bushings in the rack where it mounts,how hard do they come out?,can they be replaced without completely removing the rack,can i move the rack out far enough to get them out/in from the back without taking it off the truck,how about taking one tie rod end loose will that let it swing out far enough??
im far from young and able bodied so im looking for the easiest way!!

to answer my own question..........yes they can be replaced with the rack in place,i did it today,only hard part was the nut that the big bolts screw into is tack welded up inside where you can reach it and they both broke loose
