VB suggestion needed for 48re - 09/15/17 08:26 PM

The pan gasket started leaking on my 07 2500 CTD, so figured now would be the time to put a better valve body in to help the trans last, especially when towing our 5th wheel.
The tranny was rebuilt to stock about 20k ago by the previous owner and shifts fine, but just wanted to beef it up since the pan will be down. So, I assume putting a BD, Suncoast, Revmax or other VB will help it last and shift better when towing. Don't really want to go with a shift kit, as I have heard they can be hit and miss. Any suggestions?

I got a valve body kit from Goerend to compliment the triple disc converter I bought from him. rebuilt using a stock OH kit... that was at 34K. Just rolled 172K on the truck and the trans is the least of my worries. Truck tows my race rig or boat most of its life.

I have used BD and Firepunk with no issues. Latest VB is by a local guy down named Fred Swanson which has by far is the best one yet.
