Got a sweet deal on a front axle

Dana 60 kingpin out of 91 cummins for 200 bucks. Getting the np 205 from the same truck this weekend for 300. Both are going in my 85 W350, which came stock with Dana 44 front.

You might be stuck with 3.07 gears...

Nope. My original rear is a 4.10 d60. Original front is d44. Front I just bought has 60 f cast into it with a tag that says 4.10.

Just wanted to let you know since lots of the early diesel trucks had an odd ball 61 front axle.

If it had the 727 trans. The stick trucks got either 3.54 or 4.10.

Exactly. 91 was a split year with early trucks having the 727, late trucks getting the 518. With the 518 then 3.54 and 4.10 were available.

Stick always had the better gearing.
