Factory spray in bed liner question - 06/04/17 08:43 PM
So my new truck has factory spray in bed liner. There is an oval shaped spot towards the rear drivers side about a foot and a half from the tailgate. That I thought was supposed to be there... but I pushed on it for the 1st time yesterday and it seemed a little soft. Anyone else have this? I haven't looked at any other truck to see yet so I thought I'd ask here

What truck? My 2012 R/T doesn't have it. I have a tall vertical 1.5" wide indent there but it's noticeable.

I`m not familiar with a 2017 bed but I would think it must be some type of body plug.

Pretty sure that's a body plug. Some bedliner places remove the plugs, spray and put them back on, others spray right over them.

It wouldn't hurt to take it back to your dealer and have them look at/note it in case it is a problem later.

Stopped at the dealer today to buy oil. Looked in 3 or 4 2500's with factory spray in liners, all have the same spot. I guess I worried for nothing.

I believe it's a plug to cover the hole for an optional in bed 5th wheel trailer electrical hookup.
