Newer than you're asking about but a lot of dakotas get raced. A set of cal tracks, good shocks and slicks and guys are getting off the line hard, and running 10s and 11s relatively easy

My old 87 long bed 360 powered truck with 3.21 gears, daily driven ran 13.80's 102mph,stock converter and no traction killed the ets. My 1993 Dakota pump gas small block street truck should run 10's on motor and better with a little n2o. I do not run calracs on anything, but do have track experience to determine what works and for what cost.

Thanks! It's a work in progress. I'm in the process of a cam swap now - hope it will go some 7.3xs in good weather, driving it to the track and back of course.
