electric windows - 09/13/16 10:12 PM
my buddy is looking to buy a 2005 35004x4 regular cab Cummins,it has manual windows,he wants electric windows, doors can be bought from a salvage with electric windows and the parts transferred to his truck, the question is does the manual windows truck have the harness that you can just plug in the stuff from the donor doors,or will you have to get inventive with the wiring to make them work?,he wants electric door locks also,i presume its likely that he will need to use the donor door panels so the switches will fit correctly

You'll probably need the computer too. It's not usually so straight-forward as one might hope. Perhaps in this case the after-market might be a better solution?

Pull the interior panel, the wiring might be there.

I used one of these bolt on kits for my 79, bolts directly to old rivet wholes from manual regulator very easy installation reasonable price link for your buddies year truck here I think

doing a cummins now---the harness to the windows/power locks/power mirrors/heated mirrors lays against the inside of the firewall and plugs into the back of the fuse block--the fuse block will need changed too---the only way to put your hands on the loom is to pull the dash----and i am doing that 3 times--2 donor vehicles and the subject improved vehicle.....bob
