Tire Size question? 1984 D100

Just picked up a 1984 D100 regular cab 8 foot bed, 2nd owner truck. Very nice.

Stock steel wheel need to go, They have 235 75 R 15 on them.

I have a set of 15 X 8 aluminum wheel I want to use,

Need a wider tire for the 8 inch wheel, and something bigger in the back,

What are you guys running that have 2wd trucks,

275/60/15 work nice with a 15x8 wheel

stock size on Lil Reds and fill up the wheel wells decent

255 to 275 are good size tire for that size wheel(tread width is within 1 inch(within 1/2 inch is best) of wheel width).
I am running 295-50-15 but on 10 inch wheels.

My son is running 275-60 15 on his truck.1984 dodge step side.

Do the front tires rub at all ?

Nope no rub and thanks it's his baby putting a 400 big block in it this winter.

Here is my 80 with 15x8 and 275/60/15 on the rear.
Tucked and no rubbing
