Brake lines, calibers or both on 2500 - 05/16/16 01:25 AM

Have a 2002 2500 2wd with the ctd that i bought new with 78000 miles on it now. Last week I was bringing a load of dirt home and got caught in traffic where i had to stop and go every 10 feet for about a mile or better. When we got turned loose my right front brake was holding but let loose after a mile down the road. Ive drove it around my house and cant make it lock up again. Brake hoses, calibers, or just replace them all?

If you can get it to lock up again see if loosening the bleeder releases it. If so, and since it is one side only, probably a collapsing hoses as mentioned.

Sorry but down here in the south we call them calibers. LOL
Thanks guys, I am debating on replace everything or just the hoses. So far it is doing fine and I have new hoses to put on, just wondering if I should do it all

It is likely a collapsing hose... but you could also have a sticking caliper. Personally I would do both to avoid possible repeat service. Since it is one side only, that pretty much rules out the master.
