I would say you would be safe '81-'93, maybe even older, the only thing to check would be the wire plugs for match up.

If it's a manual, no tilt column - the clutch pedal will interfere with the ignition switch. Otherwise no issues as long as your wiring matches although if you get into cruise and other options that wiring can limit you pretty hard.

You will find that the steering gear box and column are common to GMC & Chevrolet trucks of similar vintage, so don't limit your boneyard scrounging to just the Dodge nameplates. Just be sure to get a manual column if you have a manual box and a P/S column is you have P/S because they are different lengths.

Pete's got that right - if you're not insisting on plug-n-play there's a whole lotta stuff can be made to work fairly easily. I once used a 72 D100 column in a 66 C10, all bolted in fine it just took me a couple hours to get the turn signals wired right.

What parts are you after?

Straight swap columns are 87-90 pickup and ramcharger. Tilt column from the same also bolt in just hbe sure to get the adaptor harness with the column.

Note the tilt column used in these trucks was built by Saginaw, like year GM parts fit to repair them.

I need the complete turnsignal unit. every place that I have looked up says they are discontinued and all they have is the one for tilt steering. So with me being a little fat man I thought I would see about the tilt steering option. Thanks to all who replied

Sounds like you will be junkyarding it. Ramcharger have tilt more often than pickups

Note 2wd and 4wd use different intermediate shafts so keep yours till the swap is done. Or get a column from a similar equipped truck.

Could also call the dealer for a factory pn then check fleabay for a listing.

sadly the gm columns automatic shift actuates the shift rod on the wrong side of the column---which takes some engineering to get the shift points right---stay dodge....
