1979 D150 Maximum Wheel Size?

I've got a 1979 D150 Truck with worn Springs at the front & rear.

What is the Maximum Wheel Diameter and Wide fitting the Fenders without rubbing. As I intend to by new rims as well I need also some guidance for Rim Wide and Backspacing. 31', 32' diameter? Even more?

I ran 31x10.5x15" on a 8" wide wheel on my 74 d100 club cab 2wd and it swallowed them with room to spare. Pretty sure a 10" wide wheel would not be a problem. Hope this helps.

OK Do you think 32' will do also? What sort of Backspace?

I ran a 32 x 11.50 x 15 on a 10" wide rim with 4.5 backspace on rim

ran 275/60/15 on same rim

I think I had a 33 x 12.50 x 15 on the rear of my stepside with that rim also.

been a while, in my 88-440 truck I have the A-body rear axle with 12" wide rim with 4.5 back space 29 x 15 x 15 M/Ts now. tubbed but in the fender.

on ALL my trucks the fronts stay with a 235/75/15 on 8" wide with 4" back space. except the 440 truck-it gets a 215/75/15 up front.
