2012 5.7 into a 2001

Like the title says, i have a complete engine and tranny and all wireing in a wrecked 2012 1500, i have an 2001 with a 5.2 it a clean good running truck and the thought crosses my mind often to how nice that motor would be in that 01 with that 2012 tranny also, im sure somebody has done it but havent seent or found the article, so can anybody who has done it give me some ideas what id be getting myself into ? like mounting, exhaust, trans fitment and driveshaft, and the worse part all the wireing like that goes to the dash which i have from the 2012, OR would i be better off just doing like an SCT tuner for the 01 to make that 5.2 wake up a lil bit ? the 01 has 138000 just a reg cab truck also thought about a 4.10 gear to help it out, it only a 2 wd with stock size tires. thnx for any info shared.

For sure in my gameplan too because I can't stand to have to do another 46re in my '01.

Although the 360 is fine, it's a total Dog compared to a 5.7, so I want more power and better fuel mileage.

I'm thinking about getting the hybrid drivetrain out of a wrecked Aspen.
