95 grand cherokee front lower control arms replace - 12/08/15 08:07 PM

I recently purchased a 95 jeep grand cherokee. I ordered new control arms for it because they were only 30 each with new bushings already installed. I went to change them yesterday and i couldn't get the front cam bolts out. I got the lock nuts off and tried turning the bolts out and they would only turn a short distance then "spring" back to their original position. I had it jacked up with the suspension hanging freely and i tried putting jack stands under the front axle. Either way it made no difference. I even used a 4 foot breaker bar and it kept wanting to go back to where it was. I screwed the nut partially on the bolt and hit it with a hammer but no luck. Any ideas?

the bolts are seized onto the inner bushing sleeve. I would cut the bolts off and replace

Common problem, I believe the moog part number is MOOG K100047 for new bolt/nut

You could heat the crap out of it, melt the bushing and maybe the sleeve will turn...

Cut the bolt on both sides of the bushing, remove all the pieces and put a new bolt in with the control arms. I'd give the new bolts a coating of antiseeze as you install them. Gene
