My Saturday auction score!!!!!!!

Look what I bought today. 1986 Dodge D350 61k original miles, 100% rustfree cab, floors, core support, fenders, doors. Very nice interior. 360 4 speed. Runs very good. I paid $275.00 for it. Put a battery in it, shot it with starting fluid, it fired right up. I'm going to remover the box and clean it up and maybe sell it, or put a flatbed in it and keep it.

The box will be off tomorrow afternoon, then I'll get it cleaned up. I can't believe how solid this thing is. No one would bid because it was soooo dirty and wouldn't start. Good thing for me. Maybe it will look like this one that I had.

The box would make a great storage container in the back yard.

It's going to a good home. Jim Walton is getting it. For free.

I'll be doing before and after pictures tomorrow, or maybe Monday. It's going to be cold tomorrow.

How long has it been since you've seen floors that look like this?

This truck is the second most solid dodge I've ever bought. The first one I paid really good money for. I absolutely stole this truck.

interior. I will spend the biggest part of tomorrow cleaning this truck up and really seeing how it looks.

Good score. Don't see those as box trucks too often.

It's a long wheel base as well. I can't remember but I think something like 16-18 more than a long bed pickup.

Cool find, a company I drove for back in the early 80s actually bought a Dodge just like that but with an automatic and a smaller box, I drove it for awhile , same color too, white. Sure don`t see many of them around.

It's local to me bought new at Marshall Dodge. It has lots of city stickers in the windshield. I'd say it's been kept inside due to condition.

You were right a while back when you said you stole it!

This looks like the start of something very good, a ramp truck or a tow truck (use a PTO off the manual box to power the winch), a flat bed or mount a 5th wheel hitch on the frame and move trailers as a business or put a dually bed on the frame. Those other bidders had no imagination!!

Been cleaning some more. I can't believe what this truck looks like under all of this dirt.

Sweet Score...Would make a great car hauler with either a hydraulic roll-back or ramp type flat bed !!!!!!!

It has a single inlet air cleaner. I replaced the Mopar belts today. It has all of the Mopar hoses as well but it has worm clamps. Is that normal? Choke on the carb was froze up and the hood latch. A little bit of WD and some time and all is good. Choke and hood latch works well. Driver's door wouldn't open either, got it working good. This thing has been sitting. I know who bought it new and they were the only owner before me. I've had some nasty dirty vehicles but this was the worse. Zero sign of mice. I'll be finished tomorrow with the cleaning. I'm sure I'll be cleaning a few times to get it the way I like them.
