Vent Window Delete?

Has anyone here ever seen or done a Vent window delete on a 70's - 90's Dodge ram?

I have on a mid 80s race truck with no roll down windows.

plexy glass cut and screwed off on door frame.

the vent window is built into the glass slide channel so nothing holding the glass if removed.

I happen to like the vent windows in my '87 D100 and cannot think of a good reason to remove them.

Even in the '86 Ramcharger racer, it would be an easy way to get my time slips. Why change something just because you can???

I've never seen it done. Anything can be done but re-engineering the entire door infrastructure, custom glass and regulator would certainly not make it a worthwhile endeavor.

It can be done. You will need additional piece of window track from a donor truck. Alignment is critical since you don't want any binding. I did this on a '65 Dart. Took a few times but I got done. A rodder friend suggested a power window kit.

They make one-piece glass for 70s-80s Chevys now. Maybe you could adapt those.
