94 dakota with a 540 in it. BRAKE questions - 09/17/15 12:08 AM

Hey guys I have a 94 dakota with the 6 lug rotors and I'd like to change them out to a set of five lug. Will a five lug rotor fit a six lug spindle? I installed a Dana 60 with 5/8 studs that is a five bolt lug pattern and I want the front to match. The truck had a V6 in it but now it has a 540 wedge. I also so noticed my brake booster is to wide. Do you know what small dia booster I can change it out to. And what about up grading the front brakes. Being that its a truck on the heavy side. I trying to get in the 10's and still go to HOME DEPOT.

Thanks for any help.

The frame on 39 plymouth pick up is a 94 Dakota which I put be earlier five lug rotors on. I lucked out as the local pull a part had a truck with a fresh brake job which I took the rotors, brake pads, and bearings.

On a 94 Dakota, the 5 bolt brake rotors will bolt right on where the 6 bolt used to be.
If you want to upgrade the front brakes, I believe you can swap out your existing parts for Viper parts! That should give you enough brakes...

Can't help on the booster, but I've not heard any good outcomes from the aftermarket 7" boosters, and the aftermarket 8" booster reports have been marginal. I'm sure someone will come along with more information. Gene

you could find a hydroboost system from a cummins truck and plumb it in. That would give you booster clearance
