2007 Jeep Wrangler Prospective Purchase

2007 Jeep Wrangler Prospective Purchase - 07/29/15 12:18 PM

Thinking about trading in my 08 Liberty for an 07 Wrangler. The Wrangler has 69000 miles, and my Liberty has 73000 miles. Mileage is basically a wash. Its a 2 door soft top. I had a new 1998 Wrangler back in 1997-2000, so I know what to expect from a Wrangler. This one has AC and power windows and locks, quite unlike my original! Car fax shows 7 owners, and it looks to have spent most of its life in Canada.

Is there anything I should be aware of, or look out for? I drove it last night, and it seemed fine....drives like a Jeep....The transfer case was smooth and everything engaged properly. I havent played with the top yet though. They're supposed to call me back today with the numbers to see if its even something I want to pursue. They want to much for it, in its condition I think. Asking $19000 but Im sure they will come down a bit.

So, any thoughts?

Thanks!

Well, nevermind. We couldn't agree on prices so I walked.

$19,000 sounds like a whole lot for an '07 anyway. You may consider a '12+ if you can, they have a much better engine [3.6L] and automatic transmission [5spd vs 4]
