85 W350 transmission lines - 07/02/15 03:31 PM

Where can i find new trans cooler lines for my 85 W350? I called Inline tube and Classic tube with no luck. Inline tube has a listing for a 80-89 W250. Why would this be different? Thanks for any help you can give.

IMHO, it is not. 727 lines are 727 lines in any chassis. more W350 had a manual trans most likely would be my guess.

they may be pre-bent a little different depending on model/engine combo.

I have used the same 904 lines on 727 and vis-versa pulling a used set from the JY.

IIRC the lines on my 88-440/727 truck are from my 68 Dart 318/904 trans. also added the large truck trans cooler in the system as well.

I got the 8 3/4 brake lines from them for a 68 Body to use on my 72 truck 8 3/4. I looked at where the hose/tee block bolted on for reference. those fit right.

IMHO, if you want new get the W250 set and tweek it as needed.

Thanks for your reply scratch. I must agree... How much different could they be? If you can fit a car line with some minor tweaking, then surely another truck line could work...

These are pretty straight forward from the trans ports to the starter stud in the bell. Here they are in a clip together. They step up about 2 inches and continue straight forward to another clip on the front corner of the engine oil pan. From this point one goes into the radiator the other takes a right turn under the crank pulley and then left into the radiator. I just don't see why a W250 would have a different path then this. If any one here has a 80-89 W250 could you confirm or describe your lines??

Just wanted to give an update. I ordered these lines from Inline Tube. They are part number DTT8731. I used their online order form and said I had a 85 W250. And just to be clear I typed it out in the comment section... "1985 Dodge truck 3/4 ton 4x4 trans cooler lines". What I received was completely identical to what I removed from my W350, so very happy with them. ITs funny that the tech line told me the 1 ton 4x4 was a "completely different animal" and they didnt have a pattern to produce them.

SWEEET! those look nice.

I got a nice set of brake lines for a 8 3/4 C-body for 16$ that fit on my 72 w100 8 3/4

they only sell the 72 4x4 lines as a complete set front/rear for some cheez.

so C-body is same as D/W trucks

I went by the vent bolt/tee location and they fit.

I have a set for my 67 polara c-body 16$ and they fit my E-body housing also.

funny how they are the same but not the same.

If they bolt on as correct as they look you should call them back and tell them. They can update the listing and help others get the right part.
