2006 Ram, full charge, no A/C ? - 07/01/15 04:04 PM

The compressor is not kicking on. The mechanic said it has a full charge. I told him him I'll dig in and try to figure out the issue. Any ideas? It's a Cummins 2 wheel drive. Thanks

Clutch wiring, I would ck for power and ground at the clutch first. substitute a reg test light at the harness connector if it lights you know you have power and ground = bad clutch

Just hot wire the clutch to see if it works, if it doesn't work with 12 volts and a ground to it then the coil in the clutch is bad. Either replace the clutch or the compressor. This happened to my 99 ram. Worked fine then quit working all at once. put new compressor and it's just like new.

I went through the same thing early in the spring. Replaced the recirc. door and on start-up had no a/c. work Turned out to be a bad clutch. Just decided to go south at the same time I did the door. blush

Hello, thanks, guys. Both fuses are good, 23 and 32. I'll be checking the other tests. Thanks a ton. Sure hope it is something simple. Can't stand it. I have to close the windows to talk on the phone. Long conversations turn quick..lol.. Actually, I might like it like this,...nope..
