Front Coil over shocks for 72-93 D series? - 04/05/15 09:14 PM

Has anyone put some front coil over shocks in the front of their 72-93 truck? I have already figures mounts will have to fabbed and welded, but I am thinking of it as an option vs standard shocks and springs.

The plus I am thinking here is adjustable shocks and adjustable ride height (within reason of full compression/extension of course), as well as different springs too.

My truck is mostly a street truck, probably 90% street/ 10% race

I thought I answered it yesterday but I guess not. The '70-'81 shocks are close in length and the lower brackets are a little shorter. I used a pair of Summit 90/10's on my LRE.
Same era Novas are way shorter but at least it gives you somewhere to start looking.

Yes, you did reply yesterday and so did I. Apparently anything posted after 1pm got wiped out with the forum change.

That is a good place to start and I appreciate the info.

I am just finishing putting coilovers on my truck. I used viking shocks with a stud mount top and bearing bottom. would have bin easyer with a t style bottom and a stock lower control arm. I ended up making tube uper and lower arms.
