98 grand cherokee CV shaft? - 03/24/15 10:14 PM
just got a 98 JGC 5.9 4x4 with front shaft MIA.
looks like some sort of cup on the front diff for a yoke.
looking on line it seems to be a CV joint that a shaft splines into.
I am wondering if you can swap a splined slip yoke for a CV joint on a regular shaft.
I have a shaft from a 94 with a double CV joint on xfer end and spline slip yoke on other.
also noticed the axles have the CV and not u-joints at the knuckles.
any skoolin on the newer shaft would be great.
