I rented a new Unlimited and put a thousand miles on it at work and was very impressed with it. Especially the fuel mileage from the Pentastar six.

The bed almost looks inaccessible since there is nowhere to step unless you are 7 feet tall.

It's the storage solution under the bed and built into the sides that I'm after. With a setup like this I can still get the bike in the back (have ramps) and have my field lab and sampling tools underneath.

I have to move all that stuff out of the way right now when I have to take the bike for remote locations:

With no rear bumper and that slanted bottom, I have to wonder how the back end of that rig would fair in a rear crash test. Perhaps the rear axle housing would act as the bumper if a car were to rear end it at some speed.
