wire diagram

wire diagram - 02/23/15 02:38 PM

I have a 2008 ram I need the pin layout on the radio connector... I'm putting in a New radio it stay on without the key on I need to wire it up differently or can someone tell me what I did wrong... I did get the wire connect for to hook it with my harness...

I don't have what you're looking for but I do have a suggestion. make sure the drivers side door switch isn't sticking. I just went through this with my sons car and couldn't figure it out until I noticed his dome light wasn't coming on....

the adapter connector usually has loose ends you solder to the new radio's wires. You sure you didn't miswire that? Cause I have yet to run across one that was not setup right, but I haven't done an 08 Ram either.

I gotta agree with this! I have installed a ton of radios in a bunch of different stuff and never had a problem with a NAME BRAND installation kit.

I connected the wire per color code on the new adapter and harness for the radio I couldn't get any power.... I next connected the yellow and red and I got power but it on without the key on... I may did it backward or something... Thanks for the link...

my radio got two connecter on it one big one and one small one.. I guess the small one is for the sirus radio??

don't know about yours but on my kids car the 'extra' wire harness was for the warning chime which came through the drivers side door speaker. replacing the radio disabled that but the wiring kit I bought came with an adaptor that puts out the 'chime' sound when the lights are on, key in ignition and seat belts.

OK I got a current wire diagram of harness in the truck... My question is not the same as my truck connector when you look at the connector there two gray wire with a red stripe On one which is the main power to the radio then there a few blank spot. But on the new adapter the red acc wire does not have a wire to mate to. To get the radio to work I connected the red with the yellow wire ...what did I do wrong?
