Weld wheels for a 93 Dakota

I have seen them on a Dakota before but not sure if they had a six lug wheel or if you have to change the axles and front rotors? does anyone know for sure how to be able to put Weld Wheels on a Dakota?

Early Dakotas are 5 lug, an easy swap!

Want to be sure to note, 88-90 were 5 bolt. 91 -96 are 6 bolt, easy to swap in the older parts. Just the rotors & wheels on the front, axle shafts (same size rear end to same size rear end), rear brake drums & wheels.

97 & newer are 6 bolt also but, major changes to the wheel bearings, forget swapping to the 5 bolt. Gene

I have a 1993 and it does have the six lug axles and rotors. So does that mean I have to find an older one and use those parts or no Weld Wheels. I am going to mostly race the truck but I want to drive it to and from the track.

Until 2005, the 91 and newer dakotas ALL had 6 lug hubs. When I was looking a few years ago, there were not many choices in aftermarket rims, but there may be more avail now. Welds, not so sure. As pointed out already, there should be some combo of pre 91 dakota parts you can use. I'm assuming it's a 2 wheel drive.

If you have a 2wd, go to the parts store and but new rotors for the front, and new drums for the back for a 1990 Dakota. Then go to a junk yard and buy the 5 bolt axles that match your rear axle, or buy any Mopar rear end with your 5 on 4 1/2" bolt pattern wheels.

You don't need an older truck, just a few parts for an older version of your truck, rotors, axle shafts, and rear drums. Gene

Thank you. I will have to wait until it gets a little warmer outside. It is currently -9 this morning. I will convert it over to 5 lug when it gets warmer.

I had a '96 Dakota 4x4 with Weld 6 lug wheels. They made them at one time.

My 1st thought was,

Why not call or e-mail the supplier?
