okay heres my question i needed to replace my front drive shaft when i bought my truck it didnt have, so i bought one off a 1995 dodge 2500 extended cab with a cummnins with a auto. my truck is a 1995 regualr cab long box with a nv 4500 and the drive shaft is 5 inches too long to fit on my truck so has anyone else ran into this issue?

You are going to have to find one out of a 5 spd truck for it to fit. There are also different front u-joints depending on the year.

what if i changed the front yoke i i just pulled one off a 77 dodge and its the right length but the front yoke is diffrent width thanks

Might be able to use a conversion u-joint to make it work. A Spicer 527x joint or equivalent could be the answer.

might only cost $100 or less to shorten the one you have---make sure both ends fit correctly....
