My buddy asked me to ask you guys, will a transfer case from a 1996 5spd 3/4 ton work in a 2001 5spd 1/2 ton?

The '96 3/4 ton uses a NV 241, the '01 1/2 ton uses a NV 231...no interchange.

Case is a bolt in,driveshafts would hafta be modified,at least yoke-wise,if not lengthwise.
